We are starting early this season with a streamer trip to the White River in Arkansas. We had three boats out for two days and had big fish days and multi fish days. I was lucky a landed a monster Brown trout hitting the tape at 26 1/2 inches and weighing over 12lbs. A few guys down landed tons of Rainbows and even cutthroat and a brookie. Great days on the water with Hogs on the Fly and ARHeadhunters.. Looking forward to next February and heading back done. I was able to get out with one of my newer guys Yesterday and hit the Little Lehigh in Allentown. We both got a few really nice fish. This is a great start to a new season. I am looking forward to spending plenty of time On The Run..

Fall is here and the fishing is just about ready to get good
Amongst a long dry and hit summer, the fishing around here has kinda of been bad. Many good things happened this summer though. Our store has moved to a new location with a creek and plenty of room to have casting school. I did manage to fish at the beach once and had a few guided lessons and trips but for the most part I haven't fished since April. We have many ideas and plans for the new store including a cafe and restaurant to come. My best store trip was to Penns Creek and there was an excellent West Branch of the Delaware trip. The fall is here and steelhead and salmon season is here. Head out to fish and make some memories. See you in the run.

A year to be thankful for. ADIOS 2014, bring on 2015
Well it seems to have been quite a while since may last post and without due cause, but I have overcome some major medical issues and now can proceed with the rest of my days. After spending my entire spring and summer sidelined with recouping from surgery I have time to look back and still be thankful for the time I have spent with the people that mean the most to me. After an entire season had past I did get a chance to do some fishing and teaching some fly tying classes. It seems as if flyfishing is much like riding a bike, if you fall off you need to pick yourself back up and grab the handle bars and pedal on. The little fishing that i have done was productive. Mostly spring creek and local stuff, I did manage to get out to the West Branch and even Pulaski twice. Valley Creek still my favorite and even in late November manage to drum up a few fish on olives. Not a bad year and I am very lucky to still be here. I missed out on some friends and have met a few new one too. I am so ready for 2015 and plan to make up for my lost time on the water this season. We already have plans and dates for our 2015 season and are planning a few new adventures this coming year. Happy Thanksgiving and have a Merry Christmas. I looking forward to seeing you On the Run!!!

The White River and the Norfork April 4-5
Fish with our pals from Arkansas for a few days and had great number of fish in the boat. Despite the cooler then normal temps for Arkansas this time of year the fishing was up and down. The White River is running much colder then normal and the fish are still in winter mode. The surface action was no were to be found on the White but the nymph fishing was right on point. Most of the fishing was done with zebra midges and caddis larvas. All seven of our guest had a good day on the White, but the fishing was not up to par for this most spectacular river. Day two found us down on the Norfork with better water conditions and some bugs on the surface. Everyone had double digit day with fish with some fat rainbows making the day fun. One of our guest even hit the quadfecta day with a cutthroat rainbow brown trout and brookie. I just missed the quadfecta myself not able to get that cutthroat in the boat. I always want to thank Larry Babin, Paul Bobby
and Dominic Zametto for there expert knowledge on these river. They make it look easy some times. Have a good spring and I will see you on the run.

End of a great year of fishing, good bye 2013 hello 2014
This was a great year for fishing although I didn't fish as much as I wanted too I did get a chance to go to some great place and fish with some good people. The end of the year has brought to realize that there is so much good fishing to be had. This year I was in Arkansas twice and Alaska. I also fished all of my favorite places. Big Springs in Newville and Valley creek in Valley Forge. The most fun I had was fishing the Russian RIver for Sockeye and Silver. That was such a good few days. I was the onl one fishing a two handed rod and had most people just watching in amazement on how productive swinging flies to Sockeyes could be. My fall trip back to the White River was also a blast fishing at night with GI on the fly. Got a true shot at a monster brown but could not connect. Looking back I have begun to realize that it not always the fish that makes these trips fun. Thanks for all of our guest who took our adventures with us, looking forward to more exciting fishing in 2014. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and maybe this year I will see you on the run!!
