Didnt make it to Carlisle, but headed north to see what was going on at the Big Bushkill. When i got to Marshall Creek the first thing in my mind was Bovine Pizza an outstanding pizza shop by any means; two slices of white pizza and off to Resica Falls. This is a great place to fish but unfortunatley for me the water was high even for me. the creek reminded me of the Yellowstone River in June; looks awesome but unfishable. I hopped back in the car and went to the Little Lehigh. I had stop there first today and left as soon as I had gotton there i spoke to the old LL fly shop owner who since has closed his shop and informed me that the regulations had changed and wading was now permitted in the Heritage Section of the creek. He said that with much sadness in his voice but there was nothing that he could do about it. The State of Penna.should really think of better things to do with their residents tax money, but as I returned to the creek i looked forwarded to catching some big fish. Most of the anglers fishing were not wading in the creek which is great, it was the recreational park vistors that were letting there dogs swim and even a young couple that let there toddler taking a dip. I even saw some dumb ass trying to figure out if he could float under the the wooden brideg in his soap dish kayak. Its all over for this creek now how unfortunate for a once cherished stream. Just like most people today only wasting the most valued pocession. I think that I'm going to start a campiagn agianst wading in the The Little Lehigh..
A really sad day for me to see an almost near extinction population of fish be destroyed so a few people can invade a half a mile stretch of a creek that only exhists because of the regulations to kept it that way. Big FAIL State of Penna. Hopefully these arent the last of the fish that i see in the Little Lehigh

St Patricks Day on Valley Creek
A great day on Valley Creek, although it was not my first choice it was a good one. The first really nice day with the sun coming out after what seemed like an eternity of rain. Valley was in great shape with the water flowing and just a slight tint still from the recent rain. i managed to take a few fish in the surface with the BWO and Black Stonefly tricking these clever fish. I actually was very impressed with the overall population of trout inthe creek. with a few people on the stream it seemed like everyone i spoke managed to catch a few trout. I also waslucky enough to take a few close-ups of a male cardnil that was chirping along side of the seem as i fished. Great day for the Irish and the brown trout on ValleyCreek. Tomorrow im off to Carlise to fish The Breeches..
Have a safe and Hapy St Patricks Day and i will see you on the run
