Spring has Sprung time to go fishing 2012

Started out the season upstate New York for some steelheading but that never seems to turn out the way you want it to. The fishing was difficult with unreal weather conditions and high water. No fish for this trip but was great way to get into the swing of things for the season. Hit the little lehigh and had a good day with stoneflies and olives bringing fish to the surface. Had the chance to fish valley creek with a friend in a.m. and once again had a tough time with getting fish to eat. The warm spring and water conditions seem to already have the fish on lock down mode. Still great to get out and fish, i even hit up local stream and had a few hookups one nice brookie that i got a few underwater pics of.

We kicked off the spring at the store with the Fly Fishing Film tour; which was a blast and it was great to have everyone come out to watch the show. Its gonna be a great spring for us at the store, we have several great trips coming up. Floating the west branch with the DRC and the Cumberland Valley sampler coming up in May. I cant wait to take people out to the CV. Great streams that I love to fish and cant wait to introduce a few fellow anglers to the place were it all started the limestone streams of the Cumberland Valley. Also have a chance for a few select people to fish a private stretch of water just west of Carlisle. This is a great opportunity to catch some big fish on super light tackle. I hope you have a good year out on the streams and rivers you like to fish, and maybe i will se you on the run...
