Just back for the Poconos and had a chance to fish the Brodhead and Big Bushkill with a client, and had a great time. The Brodhead was very productive with 6 fish including a few big rainbows and a beautiful native brown. The Brodhead still remains one of the best fisheries in northeast Pa. Had five fat Bows, one close to 16 inches and one native brownie on a cold day in May. After a few Glenmorangie and some good fish stories I was off at day break to meet up with a client. Much to my suprise had to scrape frost off of my windsheild and wait for my car to warm up. Back up 209 to the Big Bushkill and ready to take out a new client and looking forward to seeing what the Big Bushkill had in sort for us. I had run into the March Browns on Brodhead and hope for the same on the Bushkil, but was stood up like a blind date with the March Browns. Luckily the Sulphurs came out to same the day. Hiking down to the Chapel Pool was well worth it, a very productive day on dry flies and a double digit day for my client. We did manage to hook fish on a few March Brown soft hackles one on them tied by my girl friends little girl, it was her first fly and not bad for a nine years old. Great time this week been super busy, had a little airtime on ABC news on West Valley creek and this week coming has me helping out Valley Forge TU with th Fly Fishing for kids. Great year to date with good fishing ang old friends, get out there and fish and maybe I will see you on the run
Steve
