First real trip out this year was a brief but productive outing. Hit the Little Lehigh to fish in the spring and wound up having a terrific day. Even though the weather was brisk and we even got some snow flurries I still managed to hit a Grand Slam with rainbow, brownie and monster brook trout on the line.
The fishing was tough the wind picked up and I was trying out a new line Ridge Supple, not the right choice for the situation but definetly a decent line when the softer side of weather is around. Fished with RM form the shop and he wound up with a monster rainbow under the foot bridge. He lost the fish but probably will never forget it. Fishing seasons jsut getting started with the local streams partially covered in ice, but the Limestoners staying clear. I plan to post every trip if possible, just to keep track of my porgress. A few big events coming up with the Fly Fishing Shows going on and our first store trip to the White Rive just a few months away. Stay warm, tie some flies and support your local fly shops. Maybe I wil see you on the run
Steve
